With wide concerns over the novel Coronavirus COVID-19, we understand the importance of minimizing exposure but also understand the reality that many people will still continue to need moving services.
Since we put great value and effort in providing the best service possible, we have adopted the Center for Disease Control (CDC) protocol of Steps to Prevent Illness as our Company wide Procedure and Process until further notice.
In a nutshell, this Protocol is as follows:
1) CLEAN YOUR HANDS OFTEN
We will have hand sanitizer available to all our staff when soap and water are not readily available.
2) AVOID CLOSE CONTACT
We will request whenever possible, that no more than one person be present when we are doing a move. We also request that the one person present be less than 60 years old based upon the COVID-19 statistics on susceptibility and the danger of the virus. In the event you do not have anyone younger than 60 years old present, please let us know immediately so we can make adjustments as needed to ensure we move the correct items and complete the move in the most efficient manner possible.
We have directed our administrative staff to work from home and avoid our office/shop as much as possible. We are also limiting our face-to-face staff meetings as well.
3) STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK
We are intentionally a small company with a small number of staff so we can provide and maintain a higher quality level of service; however, if we have too many staff ill or sick at the same time, we may be short-staffed. We have put our “on-call’ staff members on notice to be prepared to work on short notice and we will do everything possible to avoid postponing a move. But if necessary we will choose the health and safety of the client, residents, and our staff over performing a move.
4) COVER COUGHS AND SNEEZES
In the event our staff are actively working and they cough or sneeze for whatever reason, they have been directed to cover their mouth and nose and wash their hands immediately.
5) WEAR A FACEMASK IF YOU ARE SICK
If our movers are actively sick, they should not be working but in any case have been advised to wear a facemask if they are around other people for any reason.
6) CLEAN AND DISINFECT
We will actively clean frequently touched areas in our shop/office and in our moving vehicles.
While we understand from various medical authorities that it may be impossible to eliminate the spread of this virus, we will take whatever measures we can to minimize it and will stay abreast of the CDC’s recommendations. Should the recommendations change or the spread of virus worsens, we may implement additional safety measures as needed.
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this process and procedure, please do not hesitate to call or text 319-364-1107 or email OnePlaceHelp@gmail.com. The health and safety of our clients are always our top priority!
